Carbon Centric awarded the Insight Prize for use of data in carbon capture

Carbon Centric has been awarded the Insight Prize (Innsiktsprisen), presented by the BI/Analytics professional group of the Norwegian Computer Society (Den norske dataforening, DND). The award highlights organizations that use data, analytics, and technology in innovative ways to create competitive advantage and sustainable value creation.

The prize was awarded for Carbon Centric’s work in developing and applying a real-time platform for the operation and optimization of carbon capture facilities.

At Carbon Centric, process technology is combined with real-time data, analytics, and cloud solutions to optimize the entire carbon capture value chain. The platform is used both in the operation of existing plants and in the planning and development of new projects.

By actively using data in operations, the company can increase capture rates, reduce energy consumption, and improve overall operational efficiency.

“Digitalization and data analytics are key to scaling carbon capture faster. This recognition shows that technology and climate solutions can go hand in hand,” says Carbon Centric.
