Kalka is Carbon Centric's first international project, located at the waste incineration facility on the Suðurnes peninsula in Iceland. Iceland has particularly favourable conditions for geological storage in basalt formations, validated by the CarbFix project. Capacity: 10,000 tonnes of CO₂ per year. Start-up date not yet determined.
